Revista de la Universidad de Antioquia cumple 80 años
La octogenaria publicación entró con esfuerzo al siglo XXI, después de varios cierres.
Este año la Revista de la Universidad de Antioquia cumple 80 años de su primera aparición en 1935, cuando nació junto a la emisora y la biblioteca, bajo la dirección de Alfonso Mora Naranjo.
Ese año, sus páginas continuaron llevando los contenidos que venían de la revista Anales de la Universidad de Antioquia, otra herramienta de divulgación que publicaba las tesis de grado y los textos de la rectoría.
La octogenaria publicación entró con esfuerzo a al siglo XXI, después de enfrentar varios cierres e interrupciones.
La primera de ellas, en 1972, suspendió por siete meses la salida del impreso, y en 1977 una crisis en la Alma Máter y la delicada situación política, la mantuvo fuera de circulación hasta 1985.
Desde entonces, bajo la dirección de Juan José Hoyos, Héctor Abad Faciolince, Luis Fernando Macías y su actual encargado, el escritor Elkin Restrepo, la revista ha divulgado temas culturales y científicos y ha tenido modificaciones visuales y formales.
Además, las ediciones han tenido que enfrentar los retos que la época ha significado para las publicaciones impresas y culturales.
De estas, la Revista de la Universidad de Antioquia es la que más ha perdurado en el país.
La última entrega de la revista, que se pública trimestralmente, fue la número 321 que contó con un especial dedicado a la vida y obra del escritor antioqueño Tomás Carrasquilla.

Of these, the Journal of the University of Antioquia is the most enduring in the country.
The latest installment of the magazine, which is published quarterly, was number 321 which had a special dedicated to the life and work of the Antiochian writer Tomás

Pueden participar colombianos residentes en el país o en el exterior -sin límite de edad-, extranjeros con más de dos años de residencia en el país, entidades culturales sin ánimo de lucro o grupos constituidos para efectos de la convocatoria. Las siete categorías que hacen parte de los Premios Nacionales de Cultura son:
· Premio Nacional Universidad de Antioquia a las Artes y las Letras.
· Premio Nacional de Literatura en las modalidades de novela, cuento, dramaturgia, poesía y ensayo.
· Premio Nacional de Comunicaciones, en las modalidades radial, audiovisual, digital y ensayo en crítica de arte y cultura.
· Premio Nacional de Artes, en las modalidades de música, teatro, danza y performance y artes vivas.
· Premio Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales.
· Premio Nacional de Estudios en Cultura.
· Premio Nacional de Gestión Cultural.

Colombian residents can participate in the country or abroad without age limit, foreigners with more than two years of residence in the country, cultural non-profit entities or groups for the purpose of the call. The seven categories that are part of the National Culture Awards are:
• National University of Antioquia at the Arts and Letters Award.
• National Literature Prize in the categories of novel, short story, drama, poetry and essays.
• National Communications Award in the radio, audiovisual, and test digital art critic and culture methods.
• National Arts Award, in the categories of music, theater, dance and performance and live arts.
• National Visual Arts Prize.
• National Award in Culture Studies.
• National Award for Cultural Management.
